Ruth Amy Hiner, age 74 of Ocean View, DE formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 with her family at her side.

She was born in 1943 in Baltimore, MD the only daughter of Bertram and Ruth Rill. She is survived by her loving husband Edsel (Ed) Hiner; a daughter, Laura Jednorski and a son, David Jednorski and his wife Teresa. She is also survived by a grandson, Justin Jednorski; a granddaughter, Cristy McNear and her husband Jeremy and four great grandchildren, Devin Jednorski, Davin McNear, Kaleigh McNear and Scarlett McNear.

Amy was also a longtime member of the Ocean View Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Deacons. She was an active advocate for the Immune Deficiency Foundation and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Ocean View Presbyterian Church, 67 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE 19970. Interment will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
