William (Bill) Emmett Rhodes passed away at his home peacefully with his partner of 30 years by his side.

He spent most of his life in Washington DC but was a resident of Ocean View, Delaware for the past 27 years.

Bill is survived by his youngest sister, Jojo Edwards of Springfield, VA, his 4 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

He was a lifetime member of Electrical Union Local 26 of Washington DC.

Bil loved baseball and played for the Air Force while serving his country during the Korean war and upon discharge considered playing professionally but chose a career in the electrical trade.

A prayer service will be held 12 noon on Thursday December 28, 2023 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE 19970 with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
