Virgil (Sonny) Francis Bradford, age 86, of Frankford, DE., passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, January 10, 2025 in the comforts of his own home.

He was born in Willards, MD on February 2, 1938, son of the late Saloman Bradford and the late Ollie (Jones) Bradford.

Virgil was a self-employed carpenter by trade.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cutting grass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosey Collins; two sons, Richard "Ricky" and Timothy "Tim" Bradford.

Virgil is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Yvonne V. (Hudson) Bradford; Son, Jeffrey (Sharon) Bradford of Virginia Beach, VA and three grandchildren, Ashley Bradford, Tarryn Pitts, and Ashton Bradford; and a brother, William "Bill" Bradford.

Service will private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Virgil's name to the Frankford Fire Department.
