Thomas Wayne Quillen, 85, of Roxana, DE, passed away peacefully, on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024. He was born in Taylorville, MD on Jan. 27, 1939, son of the late Dennard James Quillen and the late Lillian Marie (Truitt) Quillen.

He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School, in the Class of 1956. After graduating from high school, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a plane mechanic for 4 years. Following his discharge, he worked for Moore Business Forms in Snow Hill, MD for many years. After retiring, he began working for the town of Ocean City as a shuttle bus/boardwalk tram driver during the summer seasons.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, motorcycling, & hanging out at the Moose Lodge. He was a proud member of the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company #90. . .he had served on the Board of Directors, Fire Police and the Uniform Committee. He was also a member of Delaware Lodge #37.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Anne Teipelke in 2016. He is survived by his son, Wayne Bradley Quillen, of Lancaster, VA, former wife, Joanne (Littleton) Young, of Ocean View, DE, brother-in-law, Gustave Teipelke, of Kennett Square, PA, dear friend, Judy Baker, good friend, Gerald Wayne Pepper, and cousins, Brenda Messick & Wanda Hurley.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Wayne's name to Roxana Volunteer Fire Company, 35943 Zion Church Rd. Frankford, DE 19945.
