Thelma L. Knotts, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Thelma was born in Charleston, WV on May 20, 1930 daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (Simmons) Conley.  She retired as a Physicians Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins in 1988 after 22 years of service.

Thelma was a devout Christian and was the Training Director for the young adult group and a member of the choir at the Watersedge Baptist Church in Baltimore County.  She loved gardening, fishing with her husband and was an avid reader.  Above all else, Thelma loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Knotts in 2018.  She is survived by her daughters, Dena Shook and Carla Bray and her husband, Richard of Selbyville, DE; three grandchildren, Christopher Shook, Erin Rosati and Ryan Bray; three great grandchildren, Christopher Shook, Jr., Kayla Shook and Avery Noelle Bray and three great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may call after 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
