Saverio A. Mazzotta, 91, of Selbyville, DE, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023.  Sal was born and raised in South Philly to the late George and Lucy (Sampieri) Mazzotta.  He will be remembered for his quick wit, love of his Philadelphia Eagles, but most of all his love for his family and friends.

He honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War and married the love of his life,  Marie (Tedesco).   He had a long and successful career as an Account Manager with the Getty Oil Corporation.   He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.   He is survived by his wife of 65 years,  Marie; children,  Anne Wright (Joe), Rita Brown (Mark), Gregory Mazzotta (Cindy), and Paul Mazzotta (Kathy) and 10 adoring grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Sal is also survived by siblings, Rita Davis(the late George), Sister Marian Gregory IHM, Tina Snow (the late Bill), Gregory Mazzotta (Renee), Maria Lagana (Joe) and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the VA and Brandywine Senior Living for their kindness and care.

A celebration of life mass was held on June 10 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD.
