Ruth Ann Zwally, 73, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away on December 23, 2025, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ruth Ann was born on January 30, 1952, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Koller and Helen (Leary) Koller.

She was the devoted wife of Charles Theodore (Ted) Zwally, Jr., with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and a best friendship that lasted a lifetime.

Ruth Ann was a graduate of McCaskey High School and attended Millersville University.  She spent many years working at East Penn Bank, where she retired as an Assistant Vice President. While she was proud of her career, her greatest joy and life's work was her family.

She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to those she loved and was always present, never missing a dance recital, graduation, or special event. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays, and she made it magical every year, creating traditions and memories her family will cherish forever.

Ruth Ann shared an especially close bond with her sister and best friend, Kathy Floyd, and together they shared countless treasured moments with their parents, children, and grandchildren. Nothing brought Ruth Ann more happiness than having her family together, and she was grateful to see her grandchildren grow, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Rehoboth Beach was a constant and meaningful part of Ruth Ann and Ted's lives. It was a place where summers were spent with extended family, creating traditions and memories that carried on through generations. Ruth Ann loved those summers and the time spent together, and it felt only fitting that she and Ted chose Rehoboth as the place to retire and call home. There, they enjoyed a close-knit community, meaningful friendships, and many happy gatherings.

Ruth Ann was kind, gentle, and deeply caring. She always put others before herself and loved her family fiercely and unconditionally.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth and family togetherness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ted; her three daughters, Jennifer Zwally of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Lisa Zwally of Hockessin, Delaware; and Andrea and Albie Solana of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; her grandchildren, JT and Dylan Rodriguez and Emersyn and Griffin Brown; her stepmother, Elaine Koller and sister, Kathy Floyd.

Services will be held at Long Neck Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 on Monday January 5, 2026. A calling hour will be held at 10:00 a.m.  Service begins at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
