After a brief illness, Roy Henry Toomey, Jr. (Roy Jay) departed from this life to enter the realm of the heavenly father. Where he will be joined by a whole host of family members who have gone before him and will patiently wait for others to join. Beauty, peace, clarity and joy surround him.

Born in Lewes, Delaware he resided in Dagsboro. Attending the Indian River School District and graduating in 1984.

He was very interested in social, political and daily events; as well as movies and the entertainment world considering himself as a digital creator. With a sign off rt 1966, he expressed his views on many topics ranging from entertainment, political, social, economic and Christian concerns which the human populace share.

Roy was a strong-willed advocate for himself and his morals.  Motivational quotes stating "Despite whatever fears I have inside me my desire to win is always stronger". "I am Roy of course, I'll say I'm fine, even if I'm not" and "Throw me to the wolves and I'll return as the leader of the pack." You can say, "He did it my way" and took the road less traveled. He had a strong affection for nature, animals and specifically cats.

He is predeceased by his parents, Betty Jane Toomey and Roy Henry Toomey, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Michael Wayne Hudson and a nephew, Michael Christopher Hudson. As well as a whole host of grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Hudson; nephews, Sklyer and Devin; a grandniece, Elle; an aunt, Pat; a cousin Patty Ann Smith and numerous other cousins.

His body was received May 1, 2025 at Redmen Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE
