Rose M. McCoy, age 64, of Millsboro, DE formerly of Dagsboro, DE and Pottstown, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Accent Care Hospice in Wilmington, DE.

Rose was born in Pottstown, PA on April 17, 1960 daughter of George Walker and Mary Ellen (Wallace) Walker.  Rose was currently employed by Giant Food in Millville, DE as a customer service manager, where she had been employed since that store opened 25 years ago.

Rose was a hard worker that wanted to provide for her family.  She will be remembered as a ferociously independent woman that loved to work and spend her free time with her family.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alan T. McCoy in 2004 and a son, Thomas McCoy in 2023.  In addition to her father, George Walker, Rose is survived by her three children, Deanna Pfeiffer and her husband, Justin of Gilbertsville, PA, Maryrose McCoy and her husband, Jon Bowers, II of Reading, PA and Michael Alan McCoy of Reading, PA; six grandchildren, Alex, Chase, Mya, Dakota, Jon and Lilliana; two sisters, Cheryl Cutillo of Royersford, PA and Bernadette Muthersbaugh and her husband, James of Boyertown, PA and her loving and devoted fur baby, Nova.

A service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family may gather after 10 AM.  Interment will follow at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville, DE.
