Ronald John Walter of Ocean View Delaware, passed away on November 23, 2025. Born on August 18, 1939 in Baltimore Maryland he was a devoted partner to Yvonne Murray and a loving father to Nancy Mazepa, Tom Walter, Larry Walter (Lisa) and Amy Cook (Nathan) and proceeded in death by his son, Russell Walter.

He was a hard-working and dedicated father to his children. His first love was always our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He prided himself in being a part of his church family at the Church of Christ in Ocean view. He loved volunteering and helping out at the church functions. Ronald also loved his VFW family in Ocean View where he was a member of the "breakfast crew" for the VFW breakfast. He spent most of his life working as an Engineer for Lever brothers, Doxy Foods and then retired in Ocean View, DE after working for the State Highway.

Ronald's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed sports including golf, Orioles baseball, Ravens Football and corn hole with his buddies at the Cheer Center. He loved spending his weekends playing golf and eating hot steamed crabs. His love for dancing every Friday night at the Ocean View VFW with the love of his heart, Yvonne, is what he lived for each week.

He will be remembered as a fun-loving character who loved to be around people and make them laugh. He was known for his off the wall antics of making up songs, making up words, and breaking out into a dance for no particular reason is what made him special. He was a man of great integrity, kindness, generosity. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Dad was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed terribly by all. Some of his favorite saying were calling people "Higgies" (only he knew what that meant), he signed his cards and letters with "Keep it in the short grass", and his funny saying "Bittsy Boo" was his calling card. We can't forget his golf term "Hit it up the Wazzuu!!"

A service will be held on December 13th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at The Ocean View Church of Christ, 55 West Avenue, Ocean View, Delaware, 19970.

We all find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy will live on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
