Roger Gerbig died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Ocean View, DE on Monday, December 2, 2024 surrounded by family.

Roger was born May 22,1949 in Canastota, NY to Fred Gerbig and Alice Dorrance Gerbig.  Roger attended school in Morrisville, NY before moving on to the US Navy where he served on nuclear powered submarines for seven years. Roger married Frances Rashford May 22, 1971. Roger and wife Fran retired to Ocean View, DE in 2022.

Roger was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Gerbig; parents, Fred and Alice Gerbig and brother, Ben Gerbig. He is survived by his wife, Frances and son, Chris; daughter in law, Kay Gerbig and grandchildren, Shane and Alexa Gerbig, as well as sister, Mary Benedict; brother, Joe Gerbig and large extended family.

A celebration of life is scheduled in Eaton, NY at the home of Nick and Margaret Rashford on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at noon.
