Robert C. Koch, known to many as Bob and a few as Papa, passed away on October 13, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on May 10, 1957, in Queens, New York, and grew up in Levittown, New York. Bob's life was marked by remarkable achievements and cherished moments, and he will be fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

For most of his professional life, Bob dedicated his talents and energy to the Defense and Aerospace Contracting Industry, where he climbed the ranks and left a lasting impact.

Bob faced a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Throughout his struggle, he demonstrated incredible strength and resilience He unfortunately passed from complications during a hopeful lung transplant.

He is preceded by his father, Robert J. Koch, survived by his mother, Patricia Koch, his recently reconnected ex-wife, Joann Koch, and their children: Robert P. Koch, who is married to Christina, and their children Annabel and Robert, as well as Jennifer McDonald, who is married to Paul, and their children Braden, Nathan, and Ryan. Bob is also survived by his brother, James Koch and his wife Sue, by his sister, Christina Rauch and her husband Charlie, nephews Matthew, Daniel, and Charlie, and niece Jaime. He shared his home with two cherished dogs, Jonah and Toruk, who were always by his side.

Bob had a deep passion for the beach, boating, and fishing, which brought him great joy and serenity. He was also a talented chef who delighted in preparing delicious meals for those he cared about.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, respect, and admiration from those who were fortunate enough to have him as a part of their lives. His warm and kind-hearted nature earned him the love and respect of many.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Bob's life at a viewing on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Melson's Funeral Home in Frankford, Delaware. A graveside service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, Delaware, on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Bob, as a tribute to his bravery and resilience in facing this challenging illness.
