Robert Paul Hilton

January 14, 1938 – July 26, 2024

Robert Paul Hilton of Christiana, PA and Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on January 14, 1938, Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

Bob's vibrant spirit was evident in his passions – fishing, clamming and bowling were among his favorite pastimes. He cherished spending time with his family, enjoyed watching stories on TV, and loved the thrill of the casino.  Known for his storytelling and jokes, Bob had a unique ability to light up any room he entered.  After dedicating 32 years to SOMAT Corp in Pomeroy, PA, Bob retired with a legacy of hard work and commitment.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Darla Hilton, as well as his children: Robert husband of Allison of OOletawh, TN, Robin, wife of Garry Peace of New Providence, PA, Tina wife of Gene Beachy of Peach Bottom, PA, and Kathy, wife of Will Garcia of Airville, PA.

Bob's legacy continues through his 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Esther Hubbard and Paul (Stoney) Hilton, as well as siblings Tim, Pete, Betty, Pat and Shirley.

Bob's warm personality and his love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, and his stories will continue to bring smiles to those who remember him.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 12 noon to 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the AMVETS Post 2, 32592 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966
