Robert George Gerehart, age 78, of Millsboro, DE, formerly a resident of Maryland and Virginia, died peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026 in hospice care in Wilmington, DE.  He was born June 9, 1947 in Hampton, VA, son of the late Alma C. Gerehart and Gilbert C. Gerehart.  After graduating high school, Bob served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was a very proud Viet Nam Veteran.  While he lived in Maryland, Bob worked for Air Products and Chemicals, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, and Gannett Company.  In Delaware, he worked for and retired from Atlantic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Carol, he is also survived by a sister, Arlene West of Poquoson, VA.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Garnet L'Heureux and a brother, Charles Gerehart.

Bob loved and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He also loved golf, his boats, music, and of course, his dogs.  He will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
