Robert W. Coppage
April 2, 1965- July 17, 2025

Robert W. Coppage, age 60, of Ocean View, Delaware, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after his battle with Lymphoma Type B and Guillain-Barré syndrome on July 17th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert dedicated most of his life to taking care of his family. His first job was at Quebecor where he got the nickname sport and it followed with him when he went over to Bethlehem Steel. His favorite job of all was working as a table games dealer at Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin, MD. Robert enjoyed making memories with his grandchildren. They were his pride & joy.

Robert was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late James Ashby Coppage and Lorraine Genevieve Lang, the brother of the late Lorene Brocious and her husband, Frank Brocious.

He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 30 years, Karen Coppage; his stepson Matthew McFadden and his wife, Francesca McFadden; his daughters, Megan Coppage, Emily Zissimos and her husband Bradley Zissimos; his grandchildren, Michael, Adelina, Lucas, Ethan, Madelyn, and Regina. He also leaves behind his adoring dog friends, Milo and Leroy.

In his leisure time, Robert cherished moments with his family. Always had to be moving around or doing something. He loved his steak, potatoes and junk food. Huge Ravens and Orioles fan. One of his favorite things to do was watch football on Sundays.

Robert will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, kind heart, and deep love for his family. He lived a life of purpose, love, and joy- and leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever.

A celebration of life will be held at his daughter's house in Dagsboro, Delaware, the date will be announced later on. Once we all have a little time to grieve and get through this hard time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests to donate to the Go Fund Me that we set up for Roberts fight against cancer and Guillain-Barré syndrome. To help the family out with medical bills and funeral cost.
