Richard (Dick) H. Jensen, 80, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on September 15, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family. Dick was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, the only child of Raymond O. and Veta R. Jensen.

He attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dick proudly served his country as a captain in the US Army from 1965-1970, stationed primarily in Germany.

He graduated with degrees in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1964 and University of Delaware in 1972.

Dick was employed as a Research Fellow by the DuPont Company for 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lorraine Grimes; his children and their spouses, Jennifer (David) Trolio, Patrick (Tanya) Jensen; grandson Spencer Trolio; four sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dick was a kind and gentle man whose wisdom and guidance will be forever greatly missed by his family.

Services were private.
