Prentice W. Tingle, age 85, of Selbyville, DE passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE.

He was born in Dagsboro, DE son of the late Horace I. and Hilda M. (Steen) Tingle.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leanne L. Tingle.  Prentice is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Julia Ann (Pepper) Tingle; a daughter, Nancy T. West and her husband, Michael W. West.  He is also survived by a sister, Falyn Tingle and two brothers, Brian Tingle and Gary Tingle and their families.

Prentice was a graduate of John M. Clayton High School, Class of 1956.  He worked for Delmarva Power for 34 years, retiring in 1994.  Prentice was a member of Salem Church in Selbyville, DE.  He enjoyed working in the yard and loved watching auto racing.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
