Patricia A. "Trish" Lord passed away on Thursday, December 26, at TidalHealth in Salisbury, MD, surrounded by her three loving children.

Trish was born at Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC, to Dorothy A. Burns and Michael T. Burns Sr. She spent the majority of her childhood in New Windsor, NY. During her senior year, she moved to Berlin, MD, where she graduated in 1981 from Stephen Decatur High School.

Trish worked as a manager for the Taustin Group for over 25 years. She was deeply passionate about her three grandchildren and her family. Above all, Trish's love for her husband, Ken, was unwavering.

Trish was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Lord; her mother, Dorothy A. Burns; her sister, Colleen M. Kelbey; and her aunt, Patricia Maureen Woodall.

She is survived by her father, Michael T. Burns, and his wife, Sally Burns; her three children: Cory A. Lord of Ocean View, DE; J. Nicole Johns and Kyle Johns of Kents Store, VA; and Ryan C. Lord of Georgetown, DE. She is also survived by her siblings: Michele Wetter and her husband, Dan Wetter, of Poughkeepsie, NY; Michael T. Burns Jr. and his wife, Alicia Burns, of Herndon, VA; and Eric Burns and his wife, Donna Burns, of Hanover, PA. Her surviving niece and nephews include Michael A. Zaloga, Shannon E. Zaloga, Robert M. Zaloga, Brandon C. Littleton, Bailey A. Littleton and Michael T. Burns III.

Trish's legacy also lives on through her loving grandchildren: Elyana L. Johns, Weston K. Lord, and Kenly B. Johns. Additionally, she is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where a prayer service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
