Patricia A. "Pat" Janik, age 71, of Millsboro, DE formerly a 30+ year resident of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the comfort of her own home.

She was born March 8, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Francis Martin and Antoinette (Siermine) Martin who survives.

Pat dedicated her work life to the family landscaping and floral business in Clifton Heights, PA while simultaneously raising her family.  Once her children were of college age, she then began devoting her time nurturing other children serving as a full time preschool teacher at the Goddard School in Chadds Ford, PA, for 11 years continuing to mold, care, and provide for others.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was proud that her life revolved around her husband, children and grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Pat is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Lou J. Janik, Jr; two children, Jonathan Janik (Alicia) of Dover, DE and Rachel Janik (Zachary Ziemba) of Delmar, MD; three grandchildren, Ryan Curtis, Madelon Janik and Cecilia Janik; one brother, Michael Martin (Anna Marie) of Morton, PA and one sister, Linda Pera (Robert) of Ft Washington, PA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE where friends may gather after 10:30 A.M.  The eulogy will begin at 11:15 AM.  Interment will be private.
