Pamela Anne (Mumford) Munro, age 77, of Long Neck, DE passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the comfort of her own home.

Pam was born in Schenectady, NY on June 27, 1947 daughter of the late Lloyd Graves Mumford and the late Anne (Grazio) Mumford and was raised in Owensboro, KY.  She attended Owensboro High School, class of 1965, before earning a BS from Murray State in 1969 and then her Masters of Library Science from Vanderbilt, class of 1971.

She was a librarian for over thirty-two years supporting multiple institutions including, Director of Milford District Public Library, Red Clay Consolidated School District, Cataloger for University of Delaware, Cape Henlopen School District Librarian, and Director of Selbyville Library.

She was a diver and majorette when she was younger and was a lifelong avid reader and book collector.  She loved animals and was a mother to many dogs over the years including her two upon her passing, George and Romeo.  Pam enjoyed bird watching, going to the movies, watching figure skating, documentaries, and Hallmark movies, as well as seeing Broadway Musicals, going RVing and camping.  She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and St. Matthews by the Sea United Methodist Church in Fenwick Island.

Pam will be remembered by friends and family for her loyalty and selflessness.  She was a dreamer who was ever curious and always eager to learn something new.  Pam also enjoyed the simple things in life and loved to laugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Munro. Pam is survived by a daughter and son, Sean Hay; a brother, Mark Mumford and a sister, Linda Mumford and her two canine companions, George and Romeo.

The family will be holding a private memorial service to celebrate Pam's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Pam's name to the Delaware Humane Society, the Delaware Literacy Alliance, or St. Matthews by the Sea United Methodist Church in Fenwick Island.
