Myron Sherman Wells, age 91, of Selbyville, DE formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Accent Hospice in Wilmington, DE.

He was born in Baltimore, MD on July 7, 1932 son to the late William S. Wells and Esther Sherman Wells in Baltimore, MD.

Myron worked as a printer for Baltimore Printing Press and the National Wildlife Association. He relocated to Delaware 25 years ago where he worked as a greenskeeper at Bear Trap Dunes and for a brief time at Bayside. His role was to set the pins everyday across the course.

He was an avid golfer and was still putting golf balls in the house up until his heart attack.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Wells in 2020, a twin brother George Sargent Wells and sisters Barbara J, Cleda, and Wanda.  He is survived by his children: Patricia McCormick, Susan Wells, Pamela Wells and Sherry Phoebus; grandchildren:  Michael McCormick (Cary) and Shaun McCormick (Jade); great grandchildren: Lauren Williams, Kylie McCormick, Raven McCormick, Sophie McCormick and Liam McCormick and a niece, Robin McEnerney.

A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE, 19930 where a prayer service will take place at 4 p.m.  Myron will be laid to rest at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Ways, Millsboro, DE 19966 at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
