Mildred McGroarty (Kratz) 91, long time resident of the Wyoming Valley passed away on August 16th, 2023, in Millsboro DE at her daughter's residence where she had resided since April 2022.

She is survived by her children Pat Hannon (Dan), Mike McGroarty (Sue), Maureen Walters (Jack), and Kathy McGroarty, her six grandchildren Lisa (Brett), Cara (Matt), Katie, Matthew (Sarah), Megan and Amanda, her five great grandchildren Joey, Nathan, Jack, Andrew, and Kayla, her sister and brother-in-law Bernadette and David Sokira, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Mildred Kratz, her brother and sister-in-law Fred and Joan Kratz, and her two sisters-in-law Josephine McVeigh and Grace Donnelly.

Millie retired in 1994 after a long career at Blue Cross of Northeastern PA and enjoyed twenty-nine years of retirement.

A special thank you to Dr. Bruce Saidman whose knowledge, kindness and wisdom gave us an extended 17 year warranty on our dear Mother.

As per Millie's wishes, she was cremated.  A Catholic Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 128 Nesbitt St., Larksville, PA on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Her family will greet visitors prior to the mass from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Medical Oncology Prescription Fund, and sent to Medical Oncology Associates, 382 Pierce St. Kingston PA 18704.
