Michele Lynn Desch, age 52, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Polaris Healthcare in Milford, Delaware.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 14, 1973, Michele was the beloved daughter of Rocco and Nancy Marie (Cox) Mupo. She graduated from Hasbrouck Heights High School before pursuing her passion for beauty and cosmetology through beauty school. Determined and hardworking, Michele later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Western International University.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving son, Nicholas Desch of Millsboro, Delaware; her sister, Christine Gunsauls, and her husband, Jerry, of Elmwood Park, New Jersey; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Michele was most recently employed as an administrative assistant with Wagner Rack, Inc. in Clifton, New Jersey. She had aspired to become a correctional officer before her courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis altered the course of her life. Despite the challenges she faced, Michele remained resilient, strong-willed, and deeply devoted to those she loved.

An avid bowler, Michele achieved several perfect games throughout the years, an accomplishment that reflected both her skill and competitive spirit. She also had a tremendous love for animals, especially her cherished cats, which brought her great comfort and companionship.

Above all, Michele will be remembered for her caring heart, determination, and the love she shared with family and friends.

A private prayer service will be held at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services.

Michele’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
