Michael S. Page

Michael S. Page, 75, of Selbyville, Delaware, formerly of Bowie, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Washington, D.C. on August 15, 1950, Mike was the son of the late Melvin Page and Mary (Regeon) Page. A proud graduate of Northwestern High School, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, where he honorably served during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971.

Following his military service, Mike devoted nearly three decades to protecting others as a firefighter with the Washington, D.C. Fire Department. Beginning his career in 1972, he rose through the ranks and retired in December 2000 as a Lieutenant. His commitment to service did not end with retirement.

After retiring from the fire department, he worked as a bus driver locally then relocated to Delaware in 2008, where he continued working as a driver among several local organizations, including the City of Ocean City, Mearl Layton Busing, King Limousine, and Sea Colony, where he remained a familiar and friendly face to many.

Throughout his life, Mike was deeply committed to his community. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in both Maryland and the Delaware-Maryland coastal region, where he dedicated countless hours to charitable service. He generously volunteered with the Bowie Boys and Girls Club, serving as a commissioner and earning the organization's prestigious Man of the Year Award. His compassion, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A man of deep faith, Mike was a devoted parishioner of St. Ann Parish in Bethany Beach, Delaware, and Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, Maryland. He was also a former member of the American Legion and a dedicated volunteer with the Christian Storehouse in Millsboro, Delaware. There, and in many other settings, he quietly worked behind the scenes helping those in need, including assisting international J-1 students as they adjusted to life and work in Ocean City each summer.

Mike embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. He took great pride in his home, where his beautiful gardens and meticulously maintained landscaping reflected both his patience and love of nature. He enjoyed bicycle rides along the Ocean City Boardwalk and through Northside Park, as well as fishing from the Ocean City Pier. A lifelong fitness enthusiast, Mike rarely missed an opportunity to visit the gym, where he especially enjoyed working the speed bag. He and his beloved wife, Sharon, shared a love of travel and adventure, and Mike treasured the years he spent riding his motorcycle before a serious accident in 2011 brought that chapter of his life to a close.

Above all else, Mike's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, and loyal friend. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren and took immense pride in providing for and supporting those he loved. His strength, guidance, humor, and unwavering dedication to family will be remembered always. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Page, David Page, and Stephen Page.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 52 years, Sharon A. (Sutton) Page; his children, April Tomascik of Levittown, Pennsylvania her fiancé Michael Hysek , Brian Page and his wife, April Steiner-Page, of Centreville, Maryland, and Christopher Page and his fiancée, Leslie Whelan, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel Tomascik, Samantha Tomascik, Nolan Page, and Finley Page; his sister, Joanne McGehrin and her husband, Martin, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mike's life was defined by service, faith, kindness, and love. Whether wearing the uniform of his country, responding to emergencies as a firefighter, volunteering in his community, or simply lending a helping hand to someone in need, he lived with purpose and compassion.

His legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched and, in the family, he loved so deeply.  

He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 35318 Church Road, Frankford, DE 19945, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM.

A Reception will be held following the church service from 1-5 pm at the Elks Lodge#2645 at 13708 Sinepuxent Ave Ocean City, MD 21842. Interment will be held at a later date at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
