Michael John Bienicewicz, age 79, of Ocean View, DE formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at his home.

Mike was born in Germany on December 22, 1945 son of the late Michal J. Bienicewicz and the late Jozefa (Czerniawski) Bienicewicz.  He was a graduate of Brown Vocational Technical High School in Wilmington, DE.

Mike began his apprenticeship at DuHadaway Tool and Die Shop in Newark, DE.  Mike then continued his working career as a machinist with DuPont before his retirement.  He will be remembered for his love of fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sharon (Spinden) Bienicewicz; two children, Michael Bienicewicz and Michele Bienicewicz Ladrow; a sister, Irene Bowers and her husband, Jim; a brother-in-law, Alfred Spinden and his wife, Carol; a special nephew and niece, Mark Spinden and Stacey Slover; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Mike's name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
