Michael Todd Adams, age 56, of Washington Township, NJ, formerly of Long Valley, NJ, and Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ.
Michael was born in Riverdale, MD, on October 12, 1969, to Paul R. Adams and Marilyn Ann (Stultz) Adams. He spent his early years in the Silver Spring, MD, area before moving with his family to New Jersey, where he attended West Morris High School graduating in 1984.
From a young age, Mike was a hard worker with an independent spirit. As a child, he delivered the Daily Record on his paper route. He later started his own lawn-mowing business and worked at the local ShopRite. These early experiences reflected the determination and entrepreneurial spirit that would remain a part of him throughout his life.
Mike went on to build a successful career as a parts manager, taking pride in helping each business where he worked grow and succeed. He also followed his love of sports and collecting by owning his own sports memorabilia and card shop, Pinch Hit Cards II.
Sports were a true passion for Mike. He loved watching football and baseball and was a devoted fan of his beloved Orioles and Redskins. He enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of participating in several fantasy baseball and football leagues, which brought him countless hours of enjoyment.
Mike also loved golf. An avid golfer, he appreciated the time spent outdoors and the peace he found on the greens. Whether watching a game, talking sports, working on his latest project, or enjoying a round of golf, Mike found joy in the things he loved and in sharing those interests with others.
Above all, Mike will be remembered by his family for the life he shared with them and the memories they made together. He leaves behind his son, Jacob Adams; his parents, Paul R. and Marilyn Adams; his brother, John Adams, and his wife, Pat; his nephew, Brett Adams; his niece, Tara Adams; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Jessie Tosh; his paternal grandparents, Paul Herbert and Jessie Marie Adams; his maternal grandparents, Samuel and Opal Stultz; and his brother, James Paul Adams.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Mariner’s Bethel Global Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE 19970. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Michael’s name to Mariner’s Bethel Global Methodist Church at the above address.
Mike will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May the memories of the life he lived, the interests he loved, and the people he cared for bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
