Megan Kathleen Gallagher, age 41, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Born on December 7, 1984, in Lumberton, North Carolina, Megan was the beloved daughter of James Francis Gallagher and Nikki (Rosato) Gallagher. She was a proud graduate of Sussex Central High School, Class of 2003, and went on to pursue her passion for helping others by earning her Associate's Degree as a dental hygienist.

Megan devoted her career to caring for others with kindness and compassion. She spent ten years working alongside Dr. Bausch in Milford, Delaware, and continued her calling as a dental hygienist throughout Sussex County, bringing comfort and warmth to every patient she encountered.

Megan will be deeply remembered for her vibrant spirit and unmistakable spark. She had a creative soul, expressed through her love of art and crafting, and found joy in life's simple pleasures—dancing to her favorite music, preparing meals filled with love, and baking treats to share with those around her. Her home was always open, a place of comfort not only for family and friends but for anyone in need—even the occasional stray dog who found its way into her care.

Her generous heart, infectious energy, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Megan was preceded in death by her father, James "Jim" Gallagher, in 1998.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving mother, Nikki Gallagher of Millsboro; her devoted sister, Colleen Gallagher-Hough, and her husband, Michael; her cherished nieces, Savannah and Caroline Hough; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, Delaware, where a funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM. Interment will be held privately.
