Mary Ellen Conlon, age 90, of Ocean View, DE, formerly of Wantagh, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in the comfort of her home.

MaryEllen was born in the Panama Canal Zone on December 22, 1934 of the late Harvey Parker Tilton and Viola (Gatzman) Tilton.  She attended John Adams High School in Queens, NY and married Francis Edward Conlon.  They shared 62 years of marriage together.

Together they moved to Ocean View in the Fall of 2001 and enjoyed many local activities and volunteering.  Mary Ellen participated in mentoring of young children to develop reading skills and teaching English as a second language.  She also supported Francis' work with the Marine Corps League, volunteering for Toys for Tots and participating in Memorial Day Services and flag placing at cemeteries.

Mary Ellen loved watching baseball and was a life-long Brooklyn Dodger fan.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen is predeceased by her brother, Parker.  She is survived by her three children, Michael and his wife Judith, John and Caryn; four grandchildren, Shane, Eryn, Alyson, and Michael; and siblings, Leah, Harvey and Oleta.

A visitation will be held from 2:30 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 35318 Church Rd., Frankford, DE 19945 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 3:00 PM.  Interment will be private.
