Margaret "Peggy" V. Morrissey, age 78, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Genesis at Lofland Park in Seaford, Delaware.

Peggy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 27, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Charles Ignatius O'Connell and Ella Virginia (Keen) O'Connell Knauff. She worked as an accountant for Valley Modular Homes prior to her retirement.

Peggy will be fondly remembered for her fun-loving personality and her ability to turn everyday moments into adventures. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family deeply. A passionate Disney fan, Peggy also took great joy in supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events, where her enthusiastic and spirited cheering will never be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Edward Morrissey; her stepfather, William Knauff; and her sister, Charlene Conrad.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelly Pence and her husband, Robert, of Millsboro, Delaware, and Shannan Sweigart and her husband, Earl, of North East, Maryland; her nephew, Paul Glomp, III; and her four grandchildren, Elizibeth Ayers, Patrick Ayers, Jacob Sweigart, and Michael Sweigart.
