Marcy "Jolly" Scott Schneider, 53, of Selbyville, Delaware, passed away on September 26, 2025. Born
on July 13, 1972, Jolly lived a life filled with music, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to family,
friends, and community.
Jolly built a career in music promotion and production, where his passion for live performance,
creativity, and connection came to life. His work reflected his belief in the power of music to bring
people together and to heal. Whether promoting shows, supporting artists, or simply sharing a favorite
song, Jolly infused joy and heart into everything he did.
Beyond his professional life, Jolly was known for his deep love of family and friends. He is survived by
his beloved sister, Janna Michael Enger, brother-in-law Kristofer Norman Enger, and cherished niece
Nora Jules Enger. He will also be remembered lovingly by his Aunt Gina Marchese, cousins Likrish
Sasha Marchese, Carl Kabot, and Michael Levine, along with many extended family members and
lifelong friends.
Jolly was preceded in death by his loving parents, Carol Ann Schneider and Matthew Gene Schneider.
He was passionate about the simple and profound joys of life: listening to the Grateful Dead, attending
Jazz Fest, tending to his garden, cooking meals to share with others, traveling to new places, and
spending time by the beach he loved so much. His loyalty, kindness, and humor made him someone
people could always count on—steadfast, reliable, and full of warmth. Those who knew him best will
never forget his infectious laughter, his dedication to those he loved, and the way he brightened every
gathering.
A celebration of Jolly's life will be held on Friday, October 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Fenwick Island State Park
Beach. Friends and family are invited to come together by the ocean to honor his spirit and share
memories.
