Lucille R. Dalbis, 84, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Lucille was born on January 31, 1940 in White Plains, New York. She married Donato (Danny) Dalbis on August 12, 1962 in Tuckahoe, NY. In 1974, having settled in Mt Vernon, NY, they moved to Wappingers Falls, NY to raise their 3 children.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Danny Dalbis, her son Daniel Dalbis and her brother David Pietropaoli.

Lucille is survived by her sister Ann Hauser (Delaware), her son Michael Dalbis (Heather) of Bluffton, SC, her daughter Diane Godin of Poughkeepsie, NY, her daughter-in-law Judy Bondra-Dalbis of Lagrangeville, NY, her grandchildren Nicholas Dalbis (Samantha) of NY City, Haley Dalbis of Charlotte, NC and Alyssa Godin of Poughkeepsie, NY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her 3 grand puppies Brody, Macey, and Simon.

Upon retirement (1997), driven by her love and passion for the beach, Lucille and Danny moved to Bethany Beach, DE. She always cherished having family and friends visit to share in the "beach life". She also enjoyed collecting seashells, sewing, knitting as well as arts and crafts. Lucille also spent many hours volunteering for ACTS in Ocean View, DE. For those that knew her she will always be remembered for her smile and her infectious laugh.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970.  A prayer service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
