Louise R. Malerba, age 88, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Lambertville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware.

Louise was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on August 1, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph DiPaolo and Christine (Italiano) DiPaolo. She was raised in Ewing Township, New Jersey, and was a graduate of Ewing High School.

Louise was devoted to her family and dedicated herself to providing a loving and nurturing home for her children. After her children were grown, she pursued a successful career in real estate, becoming a broker and opening Louise Malerba Realty in Lambertville, New Jersey, which she owned and operated from 1985 until 1998.

A woman of deep faith, Louise was a devout Catholic and a faithful, active parishioner of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church for 28 years. She was also a proud member of the Italian Heritage Club and the Columbiettes.

Louise was a remarkable 22-year survivor of pancreatic cancer, a testament to both her strength and the exceptional care she received at Johns Hopkins Hospital following the Whipple procedure. In her leisure time, she enjoyed birdwatching, feeding her birds, completing crossword puzzles, and caring for her beloved cats. Above all, Louise cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her five siblings, Vincent, Joseph, Mary, Phillis, and Marge.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Anthony R. Malerba; her son, Anthony P. Malerba and his wife, Joyce, of Hulmeville, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Karen Malerba and her husband, Joseph Aboussleman, of Bordentown, New Jersey; and her two cherished grandchildren, Mason Malerba and Zoey Aboussleman.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, Delaware 19966, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, New Jersey 08610.
