Louis Francis Beck, “Frank”, passed away peacefully at his home in Ocean View, DE on July 5, 2026, at the age of 89, cared for by his loving family both in the hospital and during his final days at home.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (O’Donnell) Beck, of 46 years in 2010, and his sister, Sister Marie Dolores Beck (Sisters of the Good Shepherd) in 2021. He is survived by his daughter Kathy (Beck) Tolino, husband Vince, daughter Emily Massi and husband Alex, daughter Ashley Tolino and fiancé Dan Bishop, his son Kevin Beck, wife Jenny, daughters Lauren, Michelle, and Grace, his great grandson, Giovanni (Gio) Massi, and his sisters, Sister Mary Frances Beck (Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary) and Paula Nolan.

Frank was born in Washington, D.C. on January 5, 1937. After high school, Frank served for two years in the United States Army. He then spent the majority of his 40-year career in the federal government at the CIA and completed his career with Booz Allen.

Frank and Mary were married in 1963 and were devout Catholics, attending Mass and volunteering at the church and school. They were the first teachers of the faith for their two children, Kathy and Kevin, and sacrificed to send them to Catholic grade school and high school.

They lived in Kensington, MD (Holy Cross parish), Olney, MD (St. Peter’s parish), and finally were residents of Ocean View since 2004 attending St. Ann’s and Our Lady of Guadalupe churches. Frank enjoyed visiting the casino, having wine on his back porch, and talking with friends and family. Frank and Mary loved traveling the country in their RV. Frank was also a dedicated Washington Redskin/Commander fan his whole life and looked forward to every game. He enjoyed joking around and loved living at the beach. His grandchildren affectionately called him “Papa”, and his gentle nature and profound optimism were an inspiration to all. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Frankford, DE. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1:00 pm at the same location. Interment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 am. All are welcome.
