Lois E. Hudson, age 85, of Frankford, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at The Stansell House in Ocean Pines, MD.

Lois was born in Millsboro, DE on June 26, 1938 daughter of the late Louis Taylor and the late Ann (Toomey) Taylor.  She was a graduate of Millsboro High School, and a Wilmington Beautician School.  Lois  was a beautician in her early days and was a dedicated homemaker, and eventual caregiver to her mom and her husband, Donald Lee parents.

Lois was a faithful Christian woman and if you ever met her, you loved her.  She could best be described as a selfless woman who loved being with her friends, watching her grandkids and her favorite TV shows.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Hudson and a sister, Barbara (Taylor) Atkins.  Lois is survived by a son, Guy Hudson and his wife, Lauren of Wilmington, DE; a daughter, Gail Hudson Lynch and her husband, Bruce of Frankford, DE; three grandchildren, Brittany L. (Hudson) Richardson and her husband, Michael of Berlin, MD; Dr. Taylor J. Hudson and his wife, Jessica of Lititz, PA; and Morgan L. (Hudson) Gamble and her husband, Phil of Philadelphia, PA; and three great grandchildren, Remington Betts and Bryndle Richardson both of Berlin, MD and Hallie Hudson of Lititz, PA.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may gather after 1 PM.  Interment will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
