Lisa Kay "Zig" Kisenwether, born on April 2, 1960, passed from this world to dwell in the house of the Lord on December 28, 2024, in Ocean View, Delaware. She was the cherished wife and soulmate of Thomas Kisenwether, who will forever hold her memory close to his heart.

Lisa's life was a testament to love, dedication, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Thomas; her sisters, Vonalea Marie Ziegler and Cheryl A. Stout Rodriguez; her brother, James B. Ziegler; her aunts, Donna Wolford and Patricia Wolford Moore; her uncle, Ron Wolford; her in-laws, Debbie and Vince Nallo, William and Judy Kisenwether, and Brian Kisenwether; as well as numerous nieces,nephews grand nieces, and grand nephews. Lisa also shared a special bond with extended family members Carlee, Jace, Kyson, and Trey Kalbfleisch; Cole, Kassie, and Cooper Snider; Rocky Snider; and Phil Snider.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Christopher Ziegler; her grandmother, Viola Wolford; her mother, Barbara Ann Wolford Ziegler; her father, James Ziegler; her sister, Melissa Marie Stout; and her grandfather, James S. Zeigler.

Lisa's professional journey was one of extraordinary service. As a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a career spanning obstetrics, orthopedics, family medicine, and occupational health, she brought care and expertise to countless individuals across the western United States. Her work touched diverse communities—including Veterans, Native Americans, and Department of Energy employees—leaving an indelible mark on those she served.

Outside of her career, Lisa's life was enriched by her deep love for animals. She shared a special connection with her horse Wyatt and her cherished dogs Ellie, Kosha, Foster, and Fynn. Her passion for creating memorable moments for loved ones shone through in the events she planned with care and joy. Lisa also embraced outdoor adventures such as camping and fishing for salmon on the Columbia River—though she often joked that she only liked fishing "sometimes."

In retirement in Ocean View, Lisa fully embraced coastal living with enthusiasm. She found joy jet skiing along the waters and indulging in murder mysteries as an avid fan of *Murder, She Wrote*. Her warmth and vibrant spirit left an enduring impact on all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Johns Hopkins Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland to honor Lisa's memory.

A private service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 8, 2024 at Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE, 19970, where friends and family may gather after 10 a.m.
