It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda O'Laughlin, age 67 of Bethany Beach, DE and formerly of Bel Air, MD. After a courageous 6 year battle with ovarian cancer Linda maintained a positive attitude throughout her illness.

Linda was born in Baltimore, MD, on May 13, 1958, daughter to the late Joseph L. Powley, Mary J. Powley. After retiring from her profession as an RN, she enjoyed working out at the gym, gardening, going to the beach, traveling, playing trivia, shopping, spending time with friends, family, her beloved dogs and babysitting her grandbabies.

Linda lived life to the fullest and was affectionately known for her candid ball of fire personality, infectious smile and laughter, and was the shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many lives that were touched by her.

Linda was the heart and soul of her family and is survived by her loving husband Larry O'Laughlin who was her best friend, dedicated and kind care giver. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Carol Lane. She is also survived by her daughter, Caitlin Kittridge of Henrico, VA; son, Matthew Kittridge and his wife Stef of Bel Air, MD; bonus daughter, Kathleen Workman and her husband, Michael of Vass, NC and her grandchildren who were her heart, Mason, Karsyn, Kase, Cinch, Colt, Cheyenne and Cai, and her nieces, Shelley Aguayo, Laura Burkett and nephew, Tom Lane.

We ask that you remember Linda not for how her life ended, but for the way it was lived and the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE, 19970 where friends and family may gather at 12 noon.
