Lawrence Charles Kannler (better known as Larry or Buffalo), age 74, of Millville, DE, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE.

Larry was born in Baltimore, MD, on September 19, 1951, son of the late Lawrence Paul Kannler and the late Mildred Mary (Ader) Kannler. He dedicated more than 25 years of his career to Procter & Gamble, working in the maintenance division before his retirement.

Those who knew Larry will remember him for his incredible sense of humor and larger-than-life personality. He was an extremely funny guy whose loud, boisterous laugh and outgoing nature could brighten a room the moment he walked through the door. A true social butterfly, Larry had a gift for making people feel welcome and was often the life of the party. He loved to laugh, loved to have a good time, and created countless memories with the people fortunate enough to know him.

Larry enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid golfer. In his younger years, he especially enjoyed playing softball and the camaraderie that came with being part of a team. He was a member of Elks Lodge #2645 in Ocean City, MD. While he enjoyed staying active and being around friends, nothing meant more to Larry than his family. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved and took great pride in his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Lynn Rouch-Stainbrook, and his sister, Darlene Cocnavitch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria E. (Dannenfelser) Kannler, with whom he shared nearly five decades of love, laughter, and memories; four grandchildren, Kyle Stainbrook of Erie, PA, Justin Rouch of Bel Air, MD, Brittany Rouch of Bel Air, MD, and Joshua Stainbrook of Bel Air, MD; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Stainbrook and Talia Stainbrook, both of Erie, PA; a son-in-law, Fred Stainbrook of Bel Air, MD; and a sister, Jean Blake of Baltimore, MD.

Larry will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will forever remember his infectious humor, booming personality, generous spirit, and the laughter he brought wherever he went. His memory will live on in the many stories, smiles, and cherished moments shared by those who loved him.

Services and burial will be held privately.
