Kevin Bauer beloved son of Janet & John Bauer of Ocean View, DE passed away peacefully on Jan. 23, 2025 at BayHealth Hospital after a short illness. He was surrounded by his parents Janet and John (Jack) Bauer, his two sisters Kimberly Hayes and Sandra Hammerschmidt and his brother Christopher Bauer. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Michael Bauer.

Kevin was born in Abington, PA. Attended Queen of Peace Elementary School and was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in 1989. He lived in Ardsley, PA until 2006 at which time he moved to Ocean View, DE.

In Delaware, he worked as a carpenter for Gude and Conard, Inc. He also worked for Premier Glass & Screen, J.M. Bennett Construction and Reliable Home Maintenance also for a few summers at Pine Tree Campground. Kevin was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and attended many of their home games, he also enjoyed the Philadelphia Phillies games and was a dedicated Grateful Dead fan attending many concerts.

He is survived by his parents John and Janet, his sisters Sandra Hammerschmidt (Brian), Kimberly Hayes (Brett) and brother Christopher Bauer and his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He will be missed but lovingly remember by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services where friends and family may gather after 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
