Kathleen G. Everett, age 75, of Long Neck, DE and North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Newark, DE passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 3, 2023

Kathy was born in San Francisco, CA and was raised in Newark, DE. She is the daughter of the late Edward F. Gliwa, M.D. and the late Edna (Leaming) Gliwa.  She had a 30-year career with the Christina School District working as a teacher and dean of students, retiring from Newark High School.  Kathy was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Newark, DE and is a current member of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church in North Myrtle Beach.

Kathy will always be remembered for being selfless, for the countless lives she touched, and her unwavering love of her husband and family. With her husband always by her side, she enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling, going to the beach (especially Cape May), spending time with her dear friends, and most of all spoiling her four beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, James W. Everett; two children, Courtney R. Kelly (John) of Oak Hill, VA and Todd S. Everett (Beth) of Middletown, DE; four grandchildren, Arin and Ashley Kelly, Dylan and Raegan Everett; and brother, Edward F. Gliwa, Jr. (Agata) of Newark, DE.

Services will be held privately.
