Kathleen T. Elliott (Kathy), 83, of Ocean View, DE, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Kathy was born on October 20, 1941, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Paul V. Stafford and Gertrude Stafford (Givens). She grew up in Browntown, DE, and graduated from William Penn High School. Known for her warm heart and infectious spirit, Kathy cherished her time with family above all else. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who dedicated herself to creating beautiful memories with those she loved.

Kathy spent many of her happiest moments surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she shared a special bond. Her love of family extended beyond her own children, as she enjoyed gatherings, celebrations, and the simple joys of everyday life. Kathy was also known for her love of cooking, and she found joy in preparing delicious meals for her family and friends, always ensuring her home was filled with warmth and good food. She enjoyed spending time shopping, boating, and traveling, always eager to explore new places and make lasting memories. Her retirement years at the beach were a dream come true, offering her a peaceful haven to relax and enjoy life.

A proud and dedicated employee, Kathy worked for New Castle County's Department of Community Services for 28 years, retiring in 2003. Her commitment to her work and her colleagues was deeply admired, and she is remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, George B. Elliott Jr. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She is survived by her sons George B. Elliott III (Doreen) and Keith R. Elliott, two brothers, Joseph P. Stafford (Joyce) and Paul V. Stafford Jr. (Ann), her three grandchildren, Britni N. Elliott (Mark Bullen), Brooke E. Elliott, and Nicholas B. Elliott, and two great-grandchildren, Allea L. Dobrowolski and Braylon T. Dobrowolski.

A memorial service will be held at St. Ann Parish, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE, followed by a memorial dinner at the VFW Post 7234, 29265 Marshy Hope Way, Ocean View, DE. The date and time of the services will be announced to friends and family at a later time.

Kathy's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
