Josephine Henrietta (Ibach) Salovich, 89 of Bethany Beach, DE passed away July 29, 2024 in her home.

She was born June 20, 1935, in Buttonwood, PA a daughter of the late William Ibach and Josephine Henrietta Serafin Ibach.

Josephine was raised in Bound Brook, NJ and graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1952. In 1955 she graduated from St. Peters School of Nursing in New Brunswick NJ as a Registered Nurse.

She married her soulmate, John on April 7, 1956, celebrating 62 years of marriage.  Josephine worked at Lyons VA Medical Center before moving with her family to Norristown, PA. She worked at Norristown Psychiatric Hospital until her retirement in 1994. At that time Josephine and John purchased their favorite home in Bethany Beach, DE. They made many good friends, enjoying traveling with their dearest friends John and Eileen, spending many vacations traveling the world.

Josephine was active in the Salt Pond Ladies Club, Red Hat Society, Ocean View Cheers, member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and volunteered for various organizations in Ocean View.

She spent her last few years living with her daughter, Suzanne and son-in-law, Guyo in Massachusetts

Josephine is preceded in death by her devoted husband, John who passed away November 7, 2018; daughter, Kathleen who passed away July 5, 2015; brothers William and James and her beloved mother, Josephine.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Guyo; five grandchildren, Gary Dansereau of Portland, OR, Maj. Jessica Barns (Maj. Max Barnes), Alyssa Drewicz (Kyle Ligos), Samuel Drewicz (Rachel Drewicz), John Thomas Drewicz; three great grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan and Tripp Barnes; siblings, Richard Ibach (Barbara), Ronald Ibach and Marie Barton (Robert) and several nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in Josephine's name to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, at 11 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE where friends and family may gather at 10 A.M. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
