Joseph "Mark" Zduriencik, 77, of Selbyville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday February 9, 2025.  Mark was born on November 5, 1947 to the late Erma and Joseph Zduriencik of Washington, DC.  He was generous and kind, always ready with a joke and a smile.  He had an infectious optimism and energy when pursuing an idea or project. He enjoyed trains, gardening in his greenhouse and property, spirited conversations, and pleasant dinners out with friends.  But his greatest joy was blessing others: family, friend, or stranger.

Mark graduated from Wheaton High School in 1966; he had many fond memories as a drummer in a band during that time. Shortly after high school, he enjoyed serving as a Washington DC police officer, where he worked narcotics. After seven years, he gave up the police force to try his hand at home building in Frederick, Maryland.  Eventually he came to the Eastern Shore and built homes and condos in Ocean City, Maryland, before forming Gulfstream Development with his good friend and business partner of 40 years, Robert Harris.  He treasured all the wonderful relationships he cultivated during his time with Gulfstream.  He would often remark he was "Living the Dream."

Mark is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen; his sons, Austin and Nicholas Zduriencik; sister, Lori Zduriencik; and nieces and nephews.  There will be a Celebration of Life at High Tide Baptist Church, 28000 Nine Foot Road, Dagsboro De, on Sunday February 23, 2025 at 3pm.  The Family will be available from 2-3 to greet guests.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to High Tide Church Building Fund.
