Joseph T. Healy, age 87, of Bethany Beach, Delaware, formerly of Kensington, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe dedicated much of his life to service, both professionally and within his community. He proudly served on the Bethany Beach Town Council from 2008 to 2020, cherishing the opportunity to represent the citizens of the town he loved. He was a Partner at Dembo, Jones CPAs, and served as Past President of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants—a reflection of his esteemed career in accounting and leadership in the profession.

A proud graduate of Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., Joe remained a passionate Washington football fan throughout his life. He especially treasured attending games with his beloved son, Brian. A lover of music, especially Frank Sinatra and Irish melodies, Joe was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernian Society and was a Navy Reservist.

Joe was born in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Joseph T. Healy, Sr. and Mary Reidy Healy. He was predeceased by his children, Mary and Brian Healy, and his cherished Yorkies, Sonny and Ellie.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Margaret "Peggy" Healy; his daughter, Eileen Healy and her husband, Patrick Bain; his sister, Catherine Rapp; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Green, Connor and Riley Bain; and his great-grandchildren, Ella and Joe Green. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, as well as his adored Yorkies, Bear and Lilly.

Joe will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, kind heart, and deep love for his family and community. He lived a life of purpose, service, and joy—and leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
