John Henry Moeser Jr. (Jack) 87, of Frankford Delaware, formerly of Baltimore Maryland, passed away Sunday November 1, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
Jack, as he was known to everyone, was born in South Baltimore in February of 1939. Jack was the first son of John Sr. and Mary Moeser. He attended Saint Mary Star of the Sea Grade School. He then moved onto Calvert Hall College High School where he is a proud alumnus of the class of 1957. He also holds an Associates Degree from the University of Baltimore.
Jack was the ultimate Salesman, first at The Masury Paint Company in Baltimore, where he worked as a District Sales Manager for over 35 years. He was named Salesman of the year multiple times, but more importantly, he met his wife of 66 years, Kay. When Masury was bought by Valspar Paint, he then took a job with the Ariens-Gravely Company as their east coast Sales Manager. Once again, he was named Salesman of the year multiple times, not retiring until he was 75.
Affectionately known as “The Mayor”, he was extremely social and active, holding the title of HOA president in every development he lived in. He loved the Orioles and Ravens, hardly ever missing a game. His true love though was The Baltimore Colts, where he was a season ticket holder at Memorial Stadium. He also loved the beach, because most of the time he had a captive audience. He also found happiness socializing at local establishments around Fenwick and Ocean City.
His family was extremely important to him. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Katherine (Burnham), his sons John Henry III (Audrey), Michael, and Timothy (Susan deceased), Grandsons Zach and Ian, Brother William (Madeline), Sisters Mary Catherine Zepp (Michael) and Anne Marie Martel (Joseph deceased).
He had many friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday November 7, from 10 till 11 am at The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jack’s memory to Calvert Hall College High School 8102 LaSalle Rd. Towson Md 21286
