John Thomas Klatcher, Jr., age 77, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 2, 1948, John was the son of the late John Thomas Klatcher, Sr. and Marion (Heise) Klatcher. He had a successful career in the construction industry before retiring and relocating to Long Neck, DE, where he enjoyed his retirement years. John made many lasting friendships, particularly at the Paradise Pub, where he was a well-known and beloved figure in the community.

John was preceded in death by his Brother, Peter Klatcher; daughter, Christine Klatcher, and two sisters, Karen Minnix and Robin Campisi. He is survived by his devoted wife, Geraldine (Flood) Klatcher; four children, John David Klatcher (Carol), Michael Klatcher (Karen), Stephen Klatcher (Noel), and Stephanie Stumpo (Joseph); a sister, Hope Monosso; a half-brother, Joseph Knuttel; as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of choice.
