Jo Ann Lathbury, age 79, of Laurel, DE formerly of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Dover, DE on March 13, 1944 daughter of the late Lincoln Ogg and the late Beatrice (Moore) Ogg.  Jo Ann graduated from Caeser Rodney High School Class of 1962 and also graduated from Beebe School of Nursing in 1965. After graduating from Beebe School of Nursing, she began her nursing career at Beebe and worked there until her retirement in 2010.

Jo Ann and her husband loved to go camping and square dancing.  Many memories were made around a campsite and also out on the dance floor. Jo Ann was a voracious reader having a large book collection.  She was also known for her mountain of yarn where she was constantly crocheting blankets that she donated to First Steps Preschool in Lincoln, DE.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick L. Lathbury in 2020.  She is survived by her four children, Cheryl Lockerman and her husband, Jerry, Patti Jo Lathbury and her companion Angie Damen, Karen Earp and her husband, Wayne and Brian Lathbury; three sisters, Elaine DeVita, Kathleen Ryan and Lisa Ogg; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Service and burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
