Jo Ann Houghton, age 77, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025

Born in Lincoln, IL to the late, Robert D. McKown and Susie Hope Irish.

Jo Ann was a homemaker and she was a substitute teacher for 10 years for the Indian River School District. She generously and faithfully used her many gifts and talents to serve The Lord at her church, the Ocean View Church of Christ. She masterfully played the piano and organ, taught Sunday School, organized VBS, participated in many women ministries, regularly visited area nursing homes and led "Sing Along with Ann" and so much more. She was very dedicated to her family and adored being a "Grandma".

Ann leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Delmar Daryl Houghton, II; children: Bobby Houghton (Kim) of Millsboro, DE; Kelly Rogers of Fruitland, MD; five grandchildren: Jacob Rogers, Mia Rogers, Kaylynn Houghton, McKaylee Houghton, Rory Houghton. Also survived by her sister Karen Irwin of Lincoln, IL. Along with many other members of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. at the Ocean View Church of Christ, 55 West Avenue, Ocean View, DE 19970.
