Jeannette E. Novakoski, age 89, of Ocean View, Delaware, formerly of Pasadena, MD passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on December 26, 1935 to the late John Staniewski and Jesse (Zukowski) Staniewski.

Jeannette was a claims processor for All State Insurance before her retirement.

After moving to Delaware, she became a member of the card club at Land of Pleasant Living. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for Ukraine and baby hats for Nanticoke Hospital. Jeannette will be remembered as being very caring and enjoyed doing things for other people.

Jeannette is predeceased in death by her four siblings: Rita Thomas, Mary Uzarowski, Helen Staniewski and Raymond Staniewski.

She is survived by her two children Paul D. Rix (Carolyn) of Dahlonega, GA and Christine Novakoski of Ocean View, DE; grandchildren: Nathan Novakoski, Conor Rix, Duncan Rix and Tristan Rix; nieces and nephews: Tommy Uzarowski, Sharon Schmedes, Raymond Staniewski, Jr., Michael Staniewski, Kathy Yokemick and David Staniewski and several great nieces and nephews.

A service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. A reception will follow at Mulligan's Pointe, 22426 Sussex Pines Road, Georgetown, De, 19947.
