Janice Marie Dickerson, age 83, of Ocean View, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the comfort of her own home.

Janice was born in Ocean View, DE on August 12, 1941 daughter of the late Calvin McGee and the late Nellie (Tyre) McGee.  She owned her own cleaning business for several years, cleaning rentals in the beach communities and also worked as a daycare provider.

Janice enjoyed her RV trips to Chincoteague, VA and spending winters in the RV in Florida.  She was an avid collector of lighthouses and loved to go out to eat at the local restaurants.  Above all else, she was devoted to her family where she enjoyed spending time and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald J. Dickerson and three sisters, Alice Esham, Maggie Hudson and Elizabeth Chandler Bennett.  Janice is survived by her four children, Ronald E. Dickerson of Millville, NJ, Barry Dickerson of Horntown, VA, Doris Ray of Millsboro, DE and Michael Dickerson and his wife, Heather of Ocean View, DE and 8 grandchildren, Ashley Zucker, Shannon Nickler, Nathan Dickerson, Joey Dickerson, Jeffrey Walters, Nicole Walters, Michalla Dickerson and Hayley Dickerson.  She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, Oliver Zucker, Ava Nickler, Kylee Nickler, Addison Dickerson, Aiden Montanaro, Abel Montanaro, Kolton Revell, Cora Walters, Samuel Walters, Aryiana Drummond, Kyrie Roach and Bryce Williams and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11 AM to 12 noon on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon.  Interment will follow at Roxana Cemetery.
