Janette "Jan" Kinsella, born on May 20, 1942, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on August 21, 2026. She was the cherished daughter of the late Doris Lloyd and Joseph Habbart.

A devoted wife, mother, “Nana” and friend, Jan’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She was married for 66 wonderful years to her beloved husband, John "Jack" Kinsella. Together, they built a life defined by enduring love, partnership, and deep family roots.

Jan dedicated her time to local civic, youth, and cultural initiatives, volunteering with the Bethany Beach Town Council, the Bethany Beach History Museum, the Delaware Theatre Company, the Read-Aloud program, and both the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

An avid cyclist, Jan completed numerous long-distance rides, including Bike to the Beach, Bike to the Bay, the NYC Five Boro Bike Tour, and the Amish Country Bike Tour—several of which she accomplished after conquering her first battle with cancer.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her devoted sons and their spouses, Kevin (Carla), Patrick (Matthew), and Robert (Susan); and her five cherished grandchildren, Kylie (Fernando), Kevin, Katie, Keara, and Jack, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Joseph and his spouse Peggy; her half-brother, Joe Habbart; and her half-sister, Lynn Habbart.
